Why WCB Nova Scotia?

Work that matters doesn't always look dramatic. Sometimes it looks like a phone call that puts someone at ease. A financial report that keeps us accountable. A secure IT system that protects people's information. Or a plan that helps a worker get back to a job they love. Whatever your background, there is a role here where your skills make a real difference for Nova Scotians.

We foster a supportive, inclusive environment where employee engagement is valued and your unique perspectives are embraced. Here, your ideas and contributions help create safer workplaces, reduce the impact of injury, and support the well-being of Nova Scotians.

If that sounds like the kind of career you are looking for, we would love to talk.

  • Work with a team that supports you. Our people enjoy what they do and are always ready to help each other succeed.
  • Be fairly rewarded. We offer competitive pay and a full range of benefits.

We prioritize diversity and inclusion

We’re an equal opportunity employer, committed to an inclusive workplace culture and an accessible work environment where diversity thrives. At WCB Nova Scotia, every employee is an important contributor to our organization's corporate goals. We strive to advance our inclusive workplace culture by weaving the social, cultural, visible, and invisible differences of our employees into our way of work.

We also take inspiration from the diverse communities we serve across Nova Scotia. We have adopted a foundational Inclusive Workplace Policy that strives to build upon our core values of safety, care and compassion. We stay in practice to increase our cultural competency and strengthen our relationships with community.

Honouring the land and Indigenous peoples

At the WCB Nova Scotia, we acknowledge that we are in Mi’kma’ki, the traditional unceded and current territory of the Mi’kmaq. We are all treaty people who benefit greatly from the shared resources of this land, covered by the treaties of Peace and Friendship. As the province’s provider of workplace injury insurance, we are grateful to work on this land. We are committed to building trusted relationships with Indigenous peoples — to learn about their community, to better understand their history from their perspectives, and to help us provide exceptional service to all Nova Scotians, as we work toward reconciliation and equity within our community.
