​About the Role

This position provides critical analytical support to various projects and change initiatives at the Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) through data analysis, business process development and review, as well as research.  The incumbent often participates as a project team member in various roles, from identifying and scoping improvement opportunities, to options and impact analysis, to developing recommendations for change, and implementing solutions for various subject matters.

 

In addition, this position provides on-going operational support, provision of an interface and a liaison role by participating in the development, implementation and acceptance testing of activities between operational staff and Information Technology Services.   The position requires an ability to be able to translate the business needs into IT requirements and IT changes into business language as well as support the development and delivery of associated training materials.

 

General accountabilities include operational leadership, business processes, data analysis and project initiatives.  The incumbent is accountable for identifying and scoping improvement opportunities, developing recommendations for change and implementing solutions.  The incumbent will be required to act as prime/lead for initiatives, in addition to functioning as a team member. As a formal leader s/he will be required to facilitate, guide and build relationships with both operational and corporate departments to ensure the projects and initiatives are well executed in a timely, comprehensive and customer focus manner.

 

Your Experience & Skills

  • A University degree, including or augmented by formal training in business, computer sciences or business systems, as well as, 
  • 1 year proven experience in business analysis or computer applications training. 
  • Demonstrated experience planning and delivering workshops and/or training programs is essential.  
  • Experience working in a team environment is required.

 

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $63,239.00 - $79,037.00.
