​About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Manager, Change and Organizational Development plays a key role in shaping the employee experience here at WCB Nova Scotia. As a member of our HR Leadership Team, this role contributes to the organization’s People Strategy and helps build a sustainable, high-performing, and engaged workforce.

 

The Manager leads enterprise-wide change, learning, and leadership development initiatives that support organizational resilience and culture. This includes designing and evolving our change management and learning and development strategies, with a strong emphasis on leadership effectiveness and future readiness. This role works closely with our senior leaders to translate business priorities into practical programs that strengthen individual, team, and organizational performance.

 

This position oversees leadership development, learning governance, external partnerships, and associated budgets, ensuring programs are contemporary, inclusive, and aligned with best practices in adult learning and change management. The Manager also supports our commitment to diversity, inclusion and recognition initiatives, using data and insight to continually improve and contribute to a safe, respectful, and healthy workplace

 

Your Experience & Skills

You are a strategic and collaborative HR leader with deep expertise in organizational development, change management, and learning and development, including leadership development. You bring a strong business perspective and are comfortable advising senior leaders through complexity and change.

You will bring:

 

  • A university degree in Human Resources or a related field, with 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in HR, employee experience, change, or learning, including leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of modern change management, adult learning, and organizational development practices
  • Demonstrated ability to design and lead enterprise-wide initiatives that build leadership capability, engagement, and resilience
  • Experience managing teams, external partners, and budgets while applying sound governance and evaluation practices
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication, and consultation skills

 

A CPHR designation, along with certification in change management or adult education, is considered an asset. Occasional travel is required.
