About the Role
Reporting to the Director, Employer Performance, the Manager is accountable for advancing employer performance outcomes, strengthening system partnerships, and driving continuous improvement across programs, processes, and service delivery. This will be achieved by:
• Providing strategic leadership and direction to the System Impact and System Influence Programs and the Employer Performance Team Lead, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and best practice delivery models.
• Developing, coaching, and supporting team members to build capability, ensure consistent practice standards, and foster a high performing, engaged team environment.
• Overseeing all employer facing programs, including injury prevention and RTW initiatives, education, and incentive programs, ensuring they are delivered effectively, consistently, and with measurable impact.
• Ensuring operational excellence by maintaining efficient workflows, clear practice standards, and strong quality assurance processes across all Employer Performance activities.
• Strengthening employer and partner relationships through oversight of engagement efforts, supporting effective collaboration with employers, and partners.
• Providing strategic guidance on employer engagement, helping the team navigate complex employer relationships and ensuring support at all organizational levels.
• Provides oversight for and is responsible for the execution of WCB’s targeted safety incentive programs and the delivery of customized ergonomic and education programs.
• Monitoring program and team performance using data, insights, and analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Leading continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing program effectiveness, service quality, and operational efficiency.
• Conducting or overseeing research and benchmarking to identify emerging trends and best practices that inform program innovation and decision making.
• Preparing and review reports, presentations, and communications that support internal leadership, external partners, and organizational decision making.
• Collaborating with the Director and senior leaders on planning, resourcing, and implementing strategic initiatives that advance employer performance outcomes.
• Ensuring the team remains informed and responsive to emerging employer issues, system changes, and evolving expectations across the safety and RTW landscape.
Expected outcomes of this role are:
• A consistent, and high quality delivery of all employer-facing programs services.
• A strong, effective coaching and practice consistency across the Employer Performance team.
• Enhanced employer relationships that improve safety culture, reduce injury rates, and support RTW success.
• Measurable improvements in organizational key outcome indicators (KOIs) related to injury prevention and RTW performance.
• Effective collaboration with system partners and internal teams to advance shared goals.
• A well-supported, engaged, and high-performing team aligned with organizational vision and practice models.
Your Experience & Skills
• A university degree in Business, Social Sciences, Health discipline, or a related field; and,
• A minimum of 5 years’ progressive leadership experience, with a minimum of 4 years’ experience working at a senior responsibility level.
• Progressive experience providing coaching and feedback to key partners (internal and external) would be considered an asset.
