​About the Role

The Senior Investment Strategist is accountable for providing strategic oversight of the Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO). This includes ensuring the effective management of a diversified investment portfolio that aligns with WCB’s investment policies and long-term objectives. Serving as a key liaison between WCB and the OCIO, the role promotes transparency, accountability, and disciplined execution of investment strategies. The Senior Investment Strategist monitors and evaluates OCIO reporting and recommendations, delivering expert analysis and reporting to senior leadership and the investment committee. A critical responsibility of this role is to manage and apply highly confidential and sensitive financial, investment, and strategic information to ensure that investment strategies and outcomes remain closely aligned with WCB’s long-term strategic objectives, supporting financial sustainability and organizational stability.

Your Experience & Skills

  • A university degree in Business and a professional chartered financial analyst designation (CFA) or Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
  • Three years’ of progressive experience with investments with a dedicated focus on portfolio performance, monitoring managers, evaluating managers, due diligence and risk management. Interacting with investment partners.
