​About the Role

The WCB Nova Scotia is seeking one (1) student who is interested in data and business analytics to join our Health Services Team. The term runs from May 4th, 2026 to August 28th, 2026 for a period of 17 weeks. Our student employment program is aimed to provide students with valuable work experience that contributes to their education and helps them gain work experience. 

 

Role Specific Duties:

  • Provide Administrative Support to the Health Services Team and support the work of the Health Services Portfolio Managers.
  • Gather and interpret data to help determine the impact health services programs have on cost and outcomes.
  • Contribute to analytical projects that assess how health service initiatives influence service delivery.
  • Other related duties as required.

Your Experience & Skills

  • Have or be completing the first year of a post-secondary program and will be enrolled in a post-secondary program throughout the summer term (May 4, 2026 – August 28th, 2026). Successful students will be asked to provide documentation confirming their enrollment before the first day.
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Have a natural ability to build and maintain strong relationships and enjoy interacting with others daily, as well as work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate time management and organizational skills.
  • Data analytics skills are an asset
